How to play Harbor East
The city loop: walk, work, lock a house, then pick a scene — hospital, yacht, or hood.
Harbor East plays like a denser cousin of Metro Life and Berry Avenue with a cash wallet bolted on. You are not clearing dungeons. You are filling a 25-player seaside city with a lifestyle. This page is the systems overview; getting started is the first-hour checklist.
The core loop
- Spawn on the waterfront or plaza.
- Claim daily rewards if the UI offers them.
- Work a job or role so cash moves. Lanes are civilian, emergency, and criminal — see jobs.
- Spend on a lockable house or a car you will actually drive.
- Scene — Style Central selfies, Tool Shop block, hospital (Update 4), or the yacht at night.
- Lock and leave so the next 24 strangers cannot squat in your lobby.
That loop is why Money Speed gamepasses exist: they only matter if you actually clock jobs. AFK in a mansion does not pay.
Controls and camera
Harbor East forces R15. Standard Roblox movement applies.
| Input | PC | Mobile | Console |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walk | WASD | Thumbstick | Left stick |
| Jump | Space | Jump | A / Cross |
| Rotate camera | Right mouse / right stick | Drag | Right stick |
| Interact / seats | E or proximity prompt | Tap prompt | Interact bind |
| Open menu | On-screen phone/HUD | Same | Highlight HUD |
Voice chat is not supported. Camera accessory is not supported. If a friend asks you to “turn on VC for hospital RP,” you cannot — type. The emergency roles page assumes text radio.
Shift-lock helps when you drive the teal sports cars from the official screenshots. Disable it in crowds so you are not spinning on a crosswalk.
The phone / HUD cluster
City RP games in this family hang the important verbs on a phone: spawn vehicle, browse houses, open map, daily claim, sometimes pets and avatar. Harbor East follows that pattern. If a button does nothing after Update 4, wait for the lag pass — the official notes specifically mention lag optimization.
Do not confuse the HUD with a codes box. If you cannot find Codes, the feature may be off; grind cash instead.
Good lifestyle versus bad
The experience description is blunt: choose good or bad, and watch the dark side of the city. In screenshots that split is visual.
- Good / civilian: plaza coffee, Style Central, roses on an orange SUV, house interiors, yacht pizza. Play this with the civilian roles page.
- Bad / hood: Tool Shop, basketball court, chain-link graffiti, violence tag (repeated/mild). Play this with criminal roles.
- Emergency: hospital scene and ambulance from Update 4. Hospital guide.
You can swap in one session. The 25-player cap means if five people start a shootout at Style Central, the other twenty are in it whether they opted in or not. Ask in chat before you drag a photoshoot into combat.
Driving and the waterfront
Cars are part of the fantasy — official art shows Porsche-like coupes and a white G-Wagen. VIP includes a supercar. Boats and a yacht appear in gallery shots at night with the skyline behind them. Treat the water as a hangout, not an infinite ocean map. Details: vehicles and houses and the map.
Session length
Average playtime on tracker sites sits around 13–15 minutes. That is a single scene, not a sim-day. Plan a 20-minute hospital shift or a house tour, not a four-hour grind, unless you are stacking Money Speed toward 80,000 cash.
Use the session planner if you are hosting. Use how to play as the rules card you drop in Discord — wait, we do not have an official Discord. Drop it in party chat instead.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Harbor East questions.
Does Harbor East have voice chat?
No. The Roblox page lists voice chat and camera as unsupported. Roleplay in text.
Can I play solo?
Yes, but houses, hospital, and the yacht all feel better with even two friends on a 25-player server.
Is this more like Brookhaven or Metro Life?
Closer to Metro Life mansion culture plus a cash wallet and a hospital update. Server size is much smaller than Brookhaven.
